A CD got stuck in my 6-CD changer so I took the entire unit out of the dash and opened it up and removed the stuck CD. When I reinstalled the unit, everything seemed to work (all speakers have sound, radio and cd-changer work). However, after about 1 minute of working perfectly, power to the unit starts going on and off. The unit will light up and display everything for about half a second and then it will turn off again. It will do this continually until the key is taken out of the car.
I've tried reconnecting all the wires in the back unit and that didn't help. The only thing I can think of that would make it behave like this, is if it has some sort of anti-theft device in it.
Any help would be appreciated, because as much as it sucked not being able to listen to CDs, it's unbearable having to ride around in complete silence.
P.S. I lost one of the screws that mounts the unit into the dash. There were three, and one of them didn't actually attach anything. I assume, since I have all three of the screws out right now and it's acting exactly the same, that this isn't a vital part of the sound system, but I just wanted to be sure.
