TT is a torsion twist, it cost nothing except for an alignment. you tighten up the front torsion bars and it raises up your front end. you get get about 2 inches without having problems. you can get warrior shackles to replace your stock shackles on the rear leaf springs which will give you about 1.5" of lift in the rear. use the search function at the top of the page alot of people have done this
The body lift adds look and can help with bigger tires but don't add much benefit. I gave you that link because I didn't know what kind of lift you were looking for.
Doing the Torsion twist and the shacles, that is kind of a cost effective way of adding some lift that will actually benefit you a little. And I'm not sure bout the motor question, I don't want to give ya any bad advice lol But sounds like you need to junk the block either way.
