the thing is my 2013 explorer was slipping in very little snow even in snow mode. that being said a few weeks ago i got into an accident. while in snow mode and when i tried to stop it slid through the sign (with my foot still crammed into the pedal) the thing i noticed was the breaks never made the typical grinding like noise from the ABS like most vehicles do when loosing traction in the snow. My baby girl:exp: got out of the garage the other day and we had a light snow fall today so i decided to take her out for the first time since the accident. now that she is back she stops better and handles far better in the snow. we have always taken her to the dealership for work even from her 2 accidents (MY step dad put her in a ditch onto a covert pipe) my Step dad's and the previously mentioned one. The service department does the oil changes and they even fixed the brakes when the caliper seized up. but they told us they do not have the records on if they checked the traction/anti-slip system/4 wheel drive mechanism or not after replacing the transmission from my step dads accident.
