I need some expert help on transfer case identification

I have a 97 explorer eddie bauer Edition it has control trac, the problem is somebody ripped off the sticker so I have no way of identifying which transfer case this is.I have read multiple forums and realize there are 3 different transfer cases for this particular year. anybody happen to know which 1 I need?

Is the explorer a V6 or V8? is there a selector on the dash and what does it say?

If you have the 4.0L engine, then it might be the 4405 7GA model.
FWW - this sticker/t-case was also from a 1997 Eddie Bauer.

does anyone know if bw puts a stamp on their products, if so where would i find it? needing to order one soon, but have to make sure it is the right one. thanks

There's usually a metal tag on one of the lower bolts of the transfer case - looks almost like a "dog tag".

No metal tag to speak of but some odd numbers and letters on the spine of the thing "60584 REV mkc4a" and the speedo cable comes in on the front passenger side. Can email pics but can't post them on here.

Wow finally found the metal tag and yes it is the GA. Thanks guys. I will be using this site from now on. Just traded my motorcycle for this beauty. Thanks again.
