hello ppl i have a quik question i have a 03 explore. and i have 2 sounds that i cant figure out that they are or coming from and wanted to see if anyone had this problem that would be able to help me out...thanks
1st...
when i drive slow like on the street i hear a clicking sound.(i dont hear it all the time just sometimes here and there) it sounds like it comes from the front passanger side so i dont know what it is..
2nd...
sometimes when i park and turn off my truck i hear this whining/grinding sound..and im not sure what it is..

so if anyone can help me and let me know what it is thanks you guys!!

the clicking sound while driving is most likely a cv joint that is failing

Do you have the V6/V8? 4x4, 2WD, or AWD?

Welcome to this forum! The 4WD version has CV joints in the front. Your 2WD model is a RWD only system.

If the engine is off and it sounds like it is coming from the passenger side it is probably the power antena motor turning but with broken teeth. I have that sound in the 97 I just bought drove me crazy for 3 days then I learned it had a power antena. Those motors do not last very long.
