I need to paint my door handles

My door handles are starting to fade so I want to paint them. First off, I know they are rivited on so I cant take them off. But anyway,

what process, and paint can I use to make it look decent? Should I sand down the handles, I know I wont get a car paint finish I just want it better than it is now.

Make sure and mask and tape everything off around the handle. You can never have enough paper.

I did mine with SEM Trim Black. Perfect match. You can get this stuff at auto body paint supply places. I also clear-coated mine so they wouldn't fade again.
