ONLY when the AC is on & I try to start the X. It will start then die. It starts up fine when the AC is off. It's only started to do this recently.
I doubt anything fuel, or intake related is a problem. All that is aftermarket or been replaced in the last few years.

My guess is the compressor is drawing a heavy electrical load.
Or something is going on with my 200amp alt.

Ideas?

Thanks

doubt that its electrical. It most likely vacuum related... probably a faulty heater / AC controller or link there too.... BUT you need to check things like fuel pressure and maybe your idle speed (which might be too low) because of the compressor load.

The 94 AC system is rather crude there isn't a controller as far as I know. Idle speed with AC on & off is dead on. Cause it will idle just fine after I start it with the ac off & then turn it on. It's only when starting the X with the AC engaged. Even with just the fan running it will start fine. Only when AC is pressed in.

Also noticed my battery gauge dipping rather low with the AC kicked on high/max.

The battery is a Red Top & the cables are new within the last few years.

I have no clue. It's seemed to have stopped doing it.
