I scratched up my new tint!!!!

Finally went and got the strip across the top of the windshield...lady took off my rearview mirror to fix it. Goin down the road blastin the system and the mirror goes flyin off (it came off the button, the button didnt come off the glass)...so today i take it off to put it back on..it comes off the button and WAM...puts two nice slices right through my tint. damnit Im mad

Leavin for the beach for a week in a few minutes...gonna try and settle this with the tint shop when I get back.

i would go and tell them it happened because they didnt secure the mirror on right and they shoudl fix it.

Yup, have it fixed under warranty and tell them the mirror scratched the tint on a bump, not that you scratched it reinstalling it.

Tinting Experience

My window tinting experience was horrible. It is still a nightmare... I don't know if I should even go get it fixed... First time after getting them tinted, the mechanic who put my muffler on rolled them down before I had a chance to say anything only 2 days after they were tinted. I go to get them redone about 4 days later. The guy retints them, then notices some glue. He proceeds to close my door with the keys in the car, thanks to Ford's automatic locking when you turn the key in the ignition. He then drives me to my house, 20 minutes away, and back. He then retints them, and while I was leaving, I was trying to get some liquid substance off my interior that he got on there. I was a moron and had the car on, and thanks to Ford, the automatic window roll down kicked in. I haven't decided whether to go back now or wait awhile to get it fixed.

Thats weird because my rear view came off and wrecked my windshield strip about a week after I got it. I'm leaving it. I hate the place that did it.

well looking more theres a scratched place in the tint (not all the way through) that I didnt do, it also looks like the window wasnt cleaned good enough, little bumps at the bottom. Its been sitting outside in direct sun (90+) for over a week now.... They did such a good job on all the other windows a few years back..hopefully they fill it.... goin monday.


Thats unbelievable luck with your windows rollin down and stuff.....thats just crazy
