This is the second time I ripped the air dam under the bumper off. Every time I wheel hard it comes off, along with the, first stock now aftermarket fogs. So is there a step by step process of fabbing a new bumper and brackets? How will it effect my air bags sensors? Btw this is a 2nd gen sport. Also if possible I'd like to recess the license plate, it comes off just as often :D .

just leave the plastic part off and just leave the metal upper half on

I took my lower plastic off after putting on my tow hooks. It was damaged anyway. I am looking for just the right bumper. Maybe I'll build my own.

yeah, I 'll leave it off now. Not gunna replace it just to have it ripped off agian. One thing I noticed is the lines for tranny or secondary radiator(little one in front of big rad.) Those are pretty exposed. Also, what should I do with the stock fogs? Nm I'll take em off, they're junk anyway. What about the idea of only lower tube valance, anyone try that? Maybe with a sweet skid plate.

the little radiator (the transmission cooler) can be moved up if uv got the means to fabricate a little bit..

if u did a body lift, the radiator is probably sticking out the bottom more than u want to. i think the body lift kit asks u to move the radiator down with the fan shroud (because the both mount to the body, not the chasis), however, there is a way to also move the radiator up with the body and leave the fan shroud where it was before relative to the chasis.

as for the fogs, yeah take em off, iv never really noticed any significant improvement with them on versus off.

A tube valance? Nobody has ever done that because it would be worthless for an offroad vehicle. The only place those valances have any need is on the way to the grocery store. First thing I took off my navajo and first thing I took off my 2x4 ranger. Worthless. Why don't you fix the problem and improve your approach angle? Move stuff up so you don't rip it off anymore. Put the fogs on top of the bumper.

I built 2 front bumpers for my navajo shortly after I thought it would make me feel better to plow a no parking sign down that I parked in front of (it was 2 feet off the ground) and got a $100 ticket for it. It just broke my valance and tweeked my stocker bumper.

Ya, I guess that would make much sense. Actually, today I took the fogs off(pita) and it doesn't look too bad, but a tube bumper would look way better. I definatly want more protection up front for my steering, rad., suspension and maybe grill and lights but don't want to mess with the whole air bag thing. Will those air bag sensors get done away with if I go custom?

I don't know. My 93 must not have those.
