i have a 1997 explorer sport and i want to do a solid axle swap what do i need to get and how do i do it

It's a lot to write up, and has been posted TONS of times before. A simple seach on SAS will give you tons of info here on these forums. To give you a run thru would take hours of typing and gathering info, and it's already been done.

sorry im new and didnt know what sas was i am a mini trucker but i like 4x4 so i am getting into that

you have specs of your truck? 2x4 4x4?

it is a sohc all wheel drive im guessing it is a 4x4 i have auto 4 high and 4 low. also how do you post a thread on the forums a lil window poped up when i did it last time where do i go to post a new one?

i would start small. just do a tt and aal or shackle (tt=torsion twist, aal=add a leaf), and put some 31 inch tiers on it.

that way you can start learning how to wheel and not break expensive parts.

also remember only wheel in legal places to wheel and stay on the trail.

see the aal is where i an mest up i have a over leaf axle in order for me to lift the rear i will need to remove leaf springs i only have a main and 3 3x2 pices of leaf. where can i go to get hangers and shackles

if your looking to save money autozone sells shackles for $17. If your looking for best quality look into the Warrior shackles.
