A 2wd can still have a little fun off the road................and, of course, you can still make it look good.
My suggestions for a 2wd 2nd Gen:
-SOA (spring over axle): this will give you about 5" of lift in the rear. All it does is put your rear axle on the bottom of your leaf springs, instead of on top (stock). A search for "soa" or "spring over axle" will give loads of information. note: this mod MAY require an extended rear driveshaft
-TT (tortion twist): this is the process of increasing the tension on your stock tortion bars. This mod is free, except for an aliignment that will be needed afterwards. At the top of the "Suspension Forum," there is a thread called "Tortion Bar 101," read it. This mod is good for an easy 2" of lift in the front end.
-Lift spindles: This is installing aftermarket spindles in the front of your truck. This is an advantage of lifting 2wds over 4wds. This is good for 3" of lift in the front end. The spindles themselves will run about $500. A search for "lift spindles" will give a lot of info.
