I got an idea and want to see what yall thought so hear it is. Get a 4 inch pvc pip cut in in half long ways, cap off one end and a 4-2 inch coupler drill a 2 inch old in the air box and get one the chap air intake thing that look like the hose on the back of a dryer but thicker. Run that from the pvc to the air box and get a KNN drop in fliter. Now i know it's not going to give me much if any hp gain but if a bad air filter reduces the flow of air and u get bad mpg then this should help some plus it be colder. What yall think?

just get a maf adapter and a cone filter and so this http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1935549 it'll be about $50 total

the maf adapter and cone filter would be best bang for buck, but if you have the money you could get a CAI from like K&N, MAC,or Volant

the most restrictive part of the stock "air intake" is the air box

just my 2 cents

If you are doing this for MPG, I think you will be very disappointed.
