I want to mount a couple tow hooks to the mounting brackets on my Smittybuilt Bumper Thumper. I know... BAD IDEA!! Well, howzabout using a straight piece of 1"x3/8" bar stock sandwiched (bolted)to the bumper guard mounts and coming back to bolted mounts just in front of the sway bar mounts?
A gusset of sorts.
It seems this would be a simple fix that would not require any welding or extensive fabrication. Just a bar cut to length, with two holes drilled in each end. And, drilling mounting holes in the frame.
Any input on this idea?
