Our 'new to us' Explorer had mis matched tires on corroded wheels when we got it so I got a set of 235/75-15 Goodyear Wranglers from WalMart.com for $78 each and a set of much nicer Mazda wheels from the junkyard..

I like the new look but couldn't find centercaps that would fit.. Any thoughts on what I can use or what other style wheels might have a compatible cap?

I like the wheels, nice! Where are the Mazda centers? I hope you like the Wranglers. Be careful on wet pavement with them, poor traction.

Mazda centers were missing.. Looked at a few other Ford caps at the yard but nothing fit.

I had Wranglers on my Ranger pickup (2WD) and never had an issue in the wet..
They were great in the snow with weight in the bed too.. They are noisier on the highway than others I've had though~

If my wife doesn't like the feel of these in the rain I'll put them on our other Explorer and put better tires on the black one when we can afford it~

I'm sure they'd be good for plowing next winter :)

Did you ever find centers for this? I just picked up a set of the same B-Series pickup truck wheels in tip top shape for $100.00 Looking for some nice 33x12.50x15 to slap on.

Am I the only one who thinks they look good without center caps??

I think they look good as is I agree with Colintrax that they look good without

These wheels are unique in that they are open lug and have no lug cover cap. I was looking for them forever. I think I might mount some highway tread on them and post pictures later.

Below is a pic of one with a centercap.

OEM part number might be something like F4SC-1A096-AA, or have F4SC-1A096 in it.

That center cap looks soooooooo cheap. Those don't look like stock rims, but that center cap looks like it belongs on a mazda...

I priced those center caps from the local Mazda
dealer a few years ago. They were about $50 each.
Yes I said EACH. Must be made of chrome plated
gold.

I'm running an aftermarket set of bullet style
center caps on mine. They're a loose fit in the
Mazda center bore, but double sided tape does
a good job of holding them on.

Would flat or gloss black be a good alternative to not putting a cap on?

I would use a centercap just to keep junk from getting in there...

That's what I was thinking. Specially for the front axle/spindle cap. I might just flat paint it in the same color as those cool "slots" on the spokes.

At least without caps you can wash in there. Instead of havin to swap a cv and findin the nut rusted in place

Exactly, I doubt the center cap blocks much other than pressurized water.

If you want to go cheap on a centercap, Google "Home Depot knockout seal centercap"...

Sandblasted the back of the wheels and polished the front. Might leave the chrome caps for now since they are in such great shape. Duratracs going on order Friday.

Pics on 33's. I like the look of these wheels. Wish they made a Ford or Mercury cap that fit though :/
