1995 ford explorer xl
So i bought a 1995 ford explorer xl almost a year ago im trying to find parts for it but idk where to look because the car was built in kentucky but than was taken to luxembourgh(by germany) sometime between 95 & 97 and than brought back to the states sometime after that when i went to go replace the lh headlight it doesnt take the stock US bulbs which for mine is 9007(us) and it takes the 9003 h4 bulbs from what it looks like is that they replaced a lotta things on there that isnt stock like the lens the wiring harness for the tail and headlights etc where would i find these parts at?

Do you have a local Pick-n-Pull? Best place I know of to find parts if you want to bring those headlights/taillights back to stock...including wiring harnesses.

Ive looked at pick n pull but the us stock harness is way different than what mine is mines just a plug n play harness for the tail light while the us stock ones have it going through the rear washer reservoir without any connection ends to it and i looked at the ones before and after feb (still dont know how to tell door stickers are gone) and for the headlights i looked it up earlier and they have a conversion harness for it id prefer new so that way ik it still works and dont habe to make another trip or million if it dont work

I wonder if the replacement headlights are better than the stock ones with the 9007 bulb...

Ik eventually i wanna do a conversion on them eventually but idk where to look if i keep the harnesses i have rn

Swswhasii that is wat i was talkin bout in the second or third reply

Plus the 9003s are a lil more pain in the butt than the 9007s just to change one bulb took me like ten to fifteen minutes bein my hands are too big for right next to the battery theres no rrom behind the housing to stick my hands down there

^ Sorry, missed that. Far from a wiring expert, but unless the conversion was hack the adapters "should" work.
You still have a VIN on your drivers side dash right next to the windshield cowl, try this site to see build specs.

Select vehicle, enter VIN, and click minor features. GL

Wouldn't it be the same PITA changing bulbs if you switched back to 9007s, or is the 9003 headlight housing that different than the 9007's? :dunno:

The housings look the same from each other just takes different bulb types at least that i can tell
