Hello,

I'm French and my english are not very good

I bought an Explorer 1996 OHV V6 and I solved some problem.
But I have one which I didn't find the solution

My engine start correctly

But in idle I have a little problem, my engine sometimes have not idle correct.
I think it's 1 cylinder which have a spark problem.

On the road during acceleration, the engine shakes when I feel that the engine is not at the max power.

I checked the OBDII, and I have no error code.
I changed the spark plugs and the beam. But the problem are here.

It is equipped with LPG and the problem is the same, the idle is not correct and acceleration too.

I think a coil problem but I'm not sure.

I also have another problem, with ScanXL and scanmaster, by the OBDII,I have not access to the value of the lambda sensor.
Maybe a problem with the LPG ECU.

Anyone have this problem?

can you help me?

Some news

I tested Forscan with ELM327 and it's work.
I did KOEO and KOER
1 time I had P116 and after no error code

After 5 minutes I did again twice tests and no error.

Any software find error code for my problem so I don't know what happend.

After a lot of hours in forum.
I found some thread and I did it:

Clean MAF
Clean IAC
Clean ground back on coil pack

And it's the same, my engine do some noise, like back ignition and the engine are not stable.

Please help me.

Thanks

I found this, and my engine do the same.

When you accelerate, and stop, the engine move not correctly

It sounds to me like your coil packs wil need replacement. Both my explorers were OHV v6. (easy to work on and pretty reliable) Its strange that theres not a code but maybe you could check for a freeze frame of the engine data if you have an OBDll scanner:)

OK, thanks

I find a coil pack for explorer 94 it's ok? it's the same?

No, it would need to be '95 or newer

Thanks for your reply.

I ordered a new one for my 96, I wait it
