If you order from 4 wheel parts....beware of freight company

Hey guys just wanted to let you all know if you order from 4 wheel parts.com and you have freight shipping, make sure it isnt delieved by Scia. They are a bunch of f#@$ing A$$holes. I was supposed to get my lift kit delieved today 7th. I ordered it on the 2nd and it was being shipped about 45 miles from my house in melbourne florida. I would have driven to pick it up but the company would not allow this so, i payed the 73.88 shipping fee and they called me to make an appointment for today between 4-6 pm for delivery. I had to take off work to make it in time for the truck. The truck never showed up so i called the company asking wheres my stuff. they said they couldnt delieve it today because the driver went over his work time hours. i asked since when did they know this and they said from about 9 am on delivery day. so im pissed cause they didnt every call to cancel the delivery and now i have to wait for it. Plus i missed work and i wasted all day waiting for my pro comp lift kit. So tomarrow morning.....about 7 am est....the head ceo of scia is getting a call from me and i will promise all of you guys on serious explorations, i will get my parts by 11 am tommarrow morning and i will be fully refunded on my shipping costs. I figure everyone who is reading this is like this guy is acting like an a$$hole but the truth is i deal with this kind of **** at my job every day. I am a Customer Service Manager meaning i take care of all the stupid **** problems the customer service reps cant handle. So as my extremely hot girlfriend (who is telling to get off the computer and come to bed) (my reply to her is im busy dammit) i will not take **** from this company that do not deliver the customer satisfaction that it " IS FAMOUS FOR". well i figured id let everyone know that this company is a piece of monkey **** and not to use them. Thanks Guys. :fire:

I disagree, I had a great experience with 4WP. :thumbsup:
People need to work the system and be smarter, thats all.
Only buy on the weekends, when they offer free shipping. If you pay shipping for ANYTHING from 4WP, then you are just throwing your money away.

As far as the delivery company not delivering, how is that 4WP's fault?
It's not, once that merchandise leaves 4WP's dock, it's on the shipper.
Call scia, like the original poster mentioned, and deal with them.
You could possibly try to call 4WP to complain about their choice in shipping agents, but you won't get anywhere, as far as they are concerned, it's between the buyer and the shipper at that point.

Im not gonna cloud this thread with a 4wp rant....but I (and several other friends) have all had bad experiences with our local 4wp (and the corporation as a whole). I personally will NEVER walk through their door again. Besides i would much rather support my local custom shop (Carolina Rock Shop) since he is starting to get alot of recognition and its well deserved.
 






Denver and Laguna CA both have excellent 4 Wheel Parts stores and staff IMO
 






i agree that some of the stores are ok. But out here they are lying, scheming, and overall know-nothings to the sport and just try and sell you the most expensive and worthless **** in the store (couldnt even order a locker for me, they "highly reccommend i just get bigger tires instead????). And when you DO buy from them they never have it in store and you are forced to pay 3 different kinds of shipping (Shipping, Handling, and a Pallet Fee) which guess what...nothing comes on a pallet. I hate that fawking place and everytime i think about it i just get pissed off. Their reputation around here has gone to **** and they are loosing business FAST.
 






I have had trouble with Old Dominion shipping with 4WPs. I am always nervous to buy big things from 4wps now

I guess everyones experience is different. My point was that we are not babes in the woods here. We need to be educated consumers. They are trying to make money as hard as they can, so we in turn need to save money as hard as we can. There is risk involved in every business deal. The trick is to minimize risk, and maximize return.

When I ordered tires they were backordered but personally it wasn't a problem. I'd love to support a local shop, but I don't have one, so an online discount shop like 4wp is the next best thing. :)
Shipping was excellent too. Shipping notification can be requested, you guys would be suprised what you get when you just ask for it. New tires and wheels arrived in my yard mounted/balanced/palletized, and I didn't pay any extra for it. Less than 800 bucks for new wheels and tires to your door is pretty damn good in my opinion. No reason that others can't get the same deal, you just have to work at it.

I guess I defend 4WP because I don't see the problem in most negative reviews I read being a real problem with them, I just see people sitting back and complaining when issues could have been avoided/rectified with a little legwork on the consumers part. Hopefully I'm not offending anyone, I understand sometimes things go haywire and bad things happen to good people.
