Whoa!! Stop, drop and roll pilgrim!
Count to ten, take a deep breath, relax.
Does it lock/unlock itself only when your in it, or in close proximity?
If so, change the battery in your key fob.
Chances are the battery is almost dead.

OR someone is really screwing with you! Where is the other key fob?:D

could be your fob... but probably more likely your PATS system lost its "mind"... did your battery die on your truck lately??? IF the other post suggestion does work, you could try unplugging and re-plugging the PATS module... don't know if it will lose its programming though.

My key fob has been working perfectly fine as of late, but the crazy part is how the motors are engaging and the lock is not. my switches for the locks dont work my key fob doesnt work and it does this while trucks on off or driving. My truck hasnt died either. its soooo retarded. I cant lock my truck at night now and i cant even push the front driver lock down and the key turns in the door but does nothing and my rear driver door loves to stick. I cant open it without pushing or pulling

well... I would try unplugging the PATS (leave it temporarily unplugged).... at least if your problem goes away, then you know where to look and further if it doesn't, you also know where not to look.

PS... there aren't motors for locking/unlocking, they are relays. Its tough to understand your last post.... FOB working fine ... but then you say "my fob doesn't work". Lastly, now that you have indicated that your switches don't work, you have a "hard fault" in your wiring (ie. broken or shorted wire)... most likely in the driver door post OR in the sill of the rear left passenger side.

What is and where would i find the PATS? And what i was saying is the fob worked perfectly fine with no signs of losing charge but since this issue it does not lock or unlock but will beep the horn and flash the lights. And now instead of my door repeatedly locking themselves they are constantly unlocking... AAAAHHHHH!!!

Don't disconnect the PATS module, you won't be able to start your car. PATS only controls the immobilizer feature--it does not do anything with regard to the door locks.

The part I think he's trying to say is the Remote Anti-theft Personality Module (RAP).
It's located in the jack compartment. Take a look at the sticky thread about where to find the Keyless Entry Code, it'll show you where this is.

IIRC your door locks won't work with this disconnected, so even if the problem is caused by something else, it may not show with the module disconnected, but it may not be the exact cause of the problem.

The issue could be corroded door switches or bad relays. You may want to test some of these components before replacing parts.

RAPS... anyways, it has nothing to do with your unlock / lock buttons on the inside of your vehicle so with it "gone" from the circuit, your problem will either disappear or not. As for starting, who said anything about starting, the poster said the locks are going "bonkers" with he is driving or not.

Have you had any really wet weather? I had a problem like what you describe on one of my Chrysler Sebring convertibles last year and it turned out to be water trapped inside of the passenger door's door lock switch that had gotten there from too much door-open time during downpours. Try blowing the switches out with a can of compressed air to see if it helps. It was one of the rare instances (for me) where a fix for something didn't cost an arm and a leg - which is rare with my luck.

I'm betting it has nothing to do with PATS. PATS has nothing at all to do with door locks. I would first try to disconnect the keyless entry module behind the left rear panel and see if that cures it. It's been a known cause of this exact problem.

what up hound south jersey hell ya! my buddy had the same thing happen to him after messing around with the unlock button in the back of the ex by the tailgate. Turns out the weatherstripping was leaking on his side back window and got inside the button wet. he dried it off and it worked again!

had this problem with mine earlier this year after some heavy rain, look in the hinge area of the drivers door, there is a rubber boot filled with wires, on mine the unlock wire had cracked and the moisture had shorted to ground. I've been in this boot four or five times now, the last time I repaired four different wires.
