The illuminator LCD bulb behind my headlight switch burned out on both my 96 Explorer and my 96 Ranger. Two Ford and one Mercury dealerships want over $38 for a new bulb! A whole new after market switch with a bulb is only $30 from Auto Zone. Even Ford will sell me a new switch for $37 but they don't know if that includes the bulb. The Ford part number of the bulb is F57Z13B765AC. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement LCD bulb for a more reasonable price? Radio Shack sells a red LCD bulb for $1.39 but I need blue. Earlier (2000-2001) posts on this site said users paid about $5 for this bulb from Ford. My owner's manual says the Trade Number is 1815 but I can't find an LCD bulb using this number, only a miniature lamp and it is a bayonet connection rather than slim wires. Thank for any help or information.
