2002 Sport Trac
My truck (2002 Sport Trac) is about to hit a milestone, the odometer reads 198287. This weekend it should hit 200000, going on a road trip. For the milestone, I got her new tires, oil change, brakes, replacement fuses, KN filter, e3 spark plugs and wires, new belt. Hopefully I can plan it correctly and hit it when I make a beer ...run. Don't worry, not getting rid of her...she is still under warranty for 250000....sweet.

I haven't had any problems with her and but had the transmission rebuilt at 179000.

Wish us luck, we are going on vacation starting Friday and going tubing for a week.

holy cow, my 02 is only about to hit 90k!! What do you do to that thing?

Alot of road trips (Good Times!). We have been through alot together!

Except for the tranny being rebuilt once, I perform all other maintance myself, but I don't have to admit, I hate changing the spark plugs

Thats good to hear that with care they will last that long but hey it is a Ford. Mine is approaching 100k and i need it to last much longer.

Yah mine is at 163k miles i hope i mke it to 200k ...I pick my truck up tomorrow fnally was having the tranny rebuilt $1600 bucks

Congrats! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I've had my Sport Trac 10 years, but I only have 91K miles on her. I mostly drive my Limited. I bought the Limited with 27k miles and she's up to 140k now.

wow i thought i had a lot of miles on my 01 she has 156000. i started riding my motorcycle to work to save $ on gas and hopefully i will be able to fix my cel problem soon so i can do so more mods

I think that someone should make a sticky of all the things people are supposed to do, oil change, rotate tires, etc., and when they are supposed to do it. I can't because I don't even know when to do all of that.

Not sure oil change is all the important. Yes you should do them but not as extreme as some say. It very rare that anyone has a engine wear out. Its usually and granny, front end, drive train, etc.

Keeping the truck clean and fixing the small things has kept my truck in good shape. Living here in the salt area of New England care of the underside is critical.

I also decided not to piecemeal the front end repair. Once things starting going I replaced top and bottom A arms, shocks, bearings, brake calipers, rotors, sway arm brackets etc all at once. Cost me a Saturday and about $500 but I have not had any issue in 70K miles. Truck has 180K on it now.

I didn’t go with the aftermarket ball joints. My brother did and they didnt seam to last as long as oem. The built in joint costs more but if your going to keep the truck I would look hard. My brother’s aftermarket joints only lasted about $25K with greasing. My OEM ones have done 70K miles and are still nice and tight and no maintenance required.

I did also replace the belt and tensioner. Easy and good for piece of mind. The transmission valve body update seems to be doing good. No tranny issues yet.

I replaced the front calipers with OEM (bosche) remain units. The originals were in bad shape. They are working great.

Having a ABS issue now but overall I expect to drive the truck another 2 - 3 years.

A lot of miles on that sport trac. My highest mileage X is a 98 with 170K. I don't want to get rid of my explorer before it hits 200K. But it may happen... :(

Got 179xxx on my 03 ST. Bought her new and hope to get at least another 179xxx outta her. No problems to speak of, and if something breaks I plan on just fixing it and keeping her going!
