Hey all I am real busy as of late with going to classes and taking online courses for my job and in April I am coming to Phoenix for 4 days of training. I know this is Rick's backyard but if I stay for the weekend is there any interest in getting together and showing me some offroading in the area?

Let me know.

Jack, we'll definately get something together when you come down here. Looking forward to it :D

Keep us informed here. We'll get something happening.

Looks like I am flying in on Monday the 19th before 6pm and leaving sometime on Sunday the 25th probably around 1:30 pm. I still need to make my hotel reservations so any reccomendations would be appreciated. What was suggested was the Holiday Inn Select Airport, but that sounds bad. I will be free in the evenings after 4:30pm also on Friday I am done at 11:30am so that is nice.

This is what I know so far.

hey, I stayed there last year (in November).

Not too bad of a place actually. It's been sold, and was to start remodeling sometime this year.

What part of town do you need to be close to? That would help in determining a good hotel for you to stay at.

212 South 37th Ave, Mitek Training Facility

My experience is that Airport Hotels are usually generic and you don't get a feel for the local area.

Mitek isn't in a great area at all... There really aren't any nice hotels close by. The downtown hotels really are your best bet in order to stay fairly close.

They are really close to FST's fab shop so if you would like a tour let me know.

HAHA that's funny, I would love a tour of FST's fab shop.

Well I would think that there would be someplace nice to stay that isn't by the airport and in the middle of downtown. I guess I may have no choice corporate travel is getting me an itinerary this week. Hopefully I can find an alternative for hotels in case they give me a nasty one.

The Hyatt has a downtown hotel which is nice. I know there are others, I just don't recall what they are.
