haha thanks im on a recovery crew so ill be driving a hemtt wrecker. kind of a big target but it should def. be a rush. all wheel steering 8- 56" wheels haha its a blast. after drivin that ill feel so small in the mountaineer so there better be a huge lift on here when I get back. my buddy says we will be at "anaconda" its a huge fob but I hear they get mortared about 75 times a day. im really not looking forward to the convoys but oh well

9/11, the WTC attacks before it, all the attacks on non-military personnel overseas....yeah, we've been attacked and continue to be attacked on a daily basis. We also help out many of our allies defending their countries from what their leaders perceive as dangers to their sovereignty.

Not everything our country does is correct or perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but we certainly take the brunt of the worlds hatred, some of it deserved and much of it not...so we have to be prepared to defend ourselves on a moment's notice, and I thank our soldiers for making the sacrifice to serve while putting themselves possibly in harm's way.

Don't get me wrong, I agree that the soldiers (in any country) do an unenviable job; I am not a soldier, but of course in a time of war, I would certainly defend my family and country. Soldiers follow orders, and government policy on the other hand sometimes leaves something to be desired. I agree with the theory of going after the world's bullies (terrorists, etc), but is invading their sandpit and waiting for them to come back to play in it really working? Sorry....enough politics.

I hope macknos and all other soldiers drawn into the conflicts that are Iraq and Afghanistan etc return home safely.

I reported to base today and got my orders for a deployment that was suppose to be cancelled. well now I leave for fort. sill, OK. idk where in iraq ill be but if I do get internet you can bet I will be on here if not ill be going crazy for a year.
