I probably screwed up. I was attempting to remove my stock '95 fog lights to clean them out, and apply 20mm amber film to them. I got a socket wrench, turned the nut on the rear of the bracket, the light itself turned, and broke off the bolt! The fog housing is broken, and the pc is still attached to the mount! It just spins as I turn it. Now I have to remove the other side, figure out how to take off what is left of the broken one, and replace with after markets. I dont know how they are supposed to come off! Are their clips or something preventing it to come off? AARRGGHH!!

The bolt on the back you turned is the correct way to take them off.
However after 10+ years they are probably rusted a little.;)
Soak them w/ PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench or some such rust buster for a day or so and you may be able to get them off without breaking them loose from the lamp housing.

Thanks! I was feeling a little tarded! I will go after 'em with a good soaking!

I had a similar problem.. I went to clean the lenses with a cleaner kit and the light bracket snapped so i had the hangers and no lights... so.. when i came back from college i took a breaker bar and bent the hangers back enough to give myself some wiggle room, then i took an MXZ saw... one of those cut through everything ones.. and i just had at it and sheered all the bolts(driver's side, all i had time to do.. :() anyways if they're rusted.. you just gotta do what you can to get em off.. they're a bi7ch no joke.. just go for it..

whenever I remove old bolts that are either rusted on or just plain stuck, I tighten them just a little bit first then proceed to loosen it up.. this has worked every single time i had a bolt that would not budge even if i soaked it way ahead with PB..

I have not had time to mess with this problem yet, but will try over the weekend. The broken side just spins when turning, still tight but spins. I might have to take my sawzall to it. The other side I have soaked with pb blaster, and will try the tightening trick on it. Thanks for the advice.

Fixed, another problem solved!

I finally got around to doing this.

I cut off the old mounting hardware, and installed a new set in the stock mount. Wired them to existing stock fog wires, mounted them with self drilling, self tapping bolts, and BAM! New fogs!

Woo Hoo!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

whats left of busted mount bolt, cut off with sawzall.

whats left after fog and hardware is removed. Stock mounting bracket.

Tools I used to do this.

stock connectors replaced with female end of bullet connectors with heat shrink.

new holes with new bolts.

new fog installed.

switched on.

Took me a bit to get this figured out, but once I got started it only took 1 hr to install the new lights. The hardest part for me was getting out the busted stock mounting bolt. It has a T-bar for an end on the inside of the bracket that connects to a an alignment bracket that slides into stock fog.
