im the opposite no defrost only vents

I have a 99 explorer and I have seen multiple posts about having air flow from defrost but no air flow from vents. I however only use my explorer in the winter and only really care about defrost and if course my luck I only have air out if the vents. Does anyone have a suggestion how to get my defrost blowing again I would love to just make it permanent. Thank you

The vent function is vacuum controlled thru a series of vacuum lines and diaprhagms-levers.

My guess is if you go over everything in the "defrost only" thread you'll find the issue.

Does your truck have the manual or electronic HVAC control?
