I am tring to find the plastic wheel well lines for my 2001 explorer sport...The problem I am having is...I don't know the correct name for them. I have been to quite a few parts stores online and I have tried: Wheel well liners, wheel well guards and mud guards but,no luck. I hope someone can help.

I don't think so. Fender flairs go on the outside around the body cutouts for the wheels. What I am looking for are:the plastic liners inside the wheel wells...They keep dirt, mud and rocks as well as road dibris from getting up into the body panels around the wheels. Mine were taken off without my knowlege(jacked). Maybe I can find a screen shot of what I need and someone can point me in the right direction for a new set.

spalsh guards, fender liners....you will be hard pressed to find them at a parts store...eitehr get them from a dealer, or many have went to a hardware store and got some plastic pond liner and used that....

edit...here is a write up on how to use the pond liner

Yep..thats what I am talking about. Pond liners? So is the correct name:Fender liners?

I don't know what he is looking for exactly. My dads honda has a thin piece of flexible plastic inside the front fenderwells. He ripped one out when he hit a raccoon one night. He went to an aftermarket body parts place and got another one. Inner fender wells I think they were called. Do explorers have them? I never looked.
