Put the first 130 miles on my new sport today and I was pretty impressed on how the EX handled! Pretty fun in Chicago traffic. :salute:

Excellent! Hopefully I will say the same in a week or two. :)

Have you owned or driven a gen5 Explorer prior to your Sport?
Did you test drive a Sport before you purchased?
Just curious.........I have owned (5) previous generations of the the Explorer and currently drive a 2012 Limited, But I have not driven a Sport version yet. When I take delivery of my new Sport within (2) weeks, it will be my first time at the wheel of a Sport version.
Glad to see your excited with yours! Can you compare and contrast your impressions to a non-turbo Explorer?

I test drove it and was impressed with the acceleration on such a large SUV. I think you will be happy.

If 18 inch wheels were an option I might have purchased one.

I know in my case I couldn't find a dealer that had a Sport in stock for a test drive. Looks like the guy above is from the same area as me. Dealers around here said they sell them before they even get them on the lot.

I made my decision based on some extensive driving of a Limited, along with some driving and riding quite a bit in a relative's Ford Flex that has the same ecoboost engine as the Sport.

Yup, that was my situation, dealers just don't have Sports sitting on the lot to test drive. This forum was a valuable resource in helping me decide to go with a Sport instead of another Limited.

Sounds like you're having a blast in your new ride, MarineGrunt51! Be sure to take some pictures once you can tear yourself away from behind the wheel. ;)
