if you payed with a credit card, you can call your CC company and dispute the charges in writing within 60 days of when it was paid.

additionally, some cards and checking accounts offer "buyer protection", either doubling the waranty, or giving you a one year waranty.

finally, check with the local authorities about picketing outside of the store, put the X on a trailer and tow it down in front of the shop and get a BIG banner or sandwich board sign made saying thet you were treated unfairly. spens a few saturdays parked out front. just make you don't do anything that can get you in trouble for liebel, slander or tresspassing.

I want to thank you all for your advice and give you an update.

I had paid for it by credit card, so I submitted a claim to the disput department and they found against steve at colorado 4x4 specilaists and gave me a full refund.
It's seems they didn't agree with you Matt.

It worked out in the end, after alot of time and effort getting a second opion, statements, forms and stuff. I gotta say it was a real pain dealing with steve, he is so unprofessional and pretty much incompetant. On top of it all he caused me to lose my yearly vacation as I didn't have a truck, cause he broke it.

Well I'm back onthe trails now...whoppee!....for all you Denverites I ran Jenny Creek trail last weekend.....pretty cool, especially drinving up the river!
