I know that my windshield wipers are supposed to change with vehicle speed, but something is wrong. If I'm using any setting besides the low and high, the wipers will swipe, pause, swipe, swipe, pause, swipe, pause, pause, etc...just no rythym what-so-ever. What is causing this and how can i fix it?

I was afraid that was going to be the case, could it possibly be a relay problem?

Really?

It is your multi-switch.

Nope - it's the MF switch - the whole turn-signal stalk. About $60 new, but you can aks around the wanted/for sale forum to see who's parting out a 2nd gen X.

I would definitely go with a new multifunction switch.

The switch, part number YL5Z13K359AAA, cost $66.48 at my local Ford delarship.

Good luck ...........

Mine had this problem before I changed the multifunction switch but it still does it, just not as noticable. I've always thought it was probably a relay problem but it doesn't bother me enough to look into it.
