So the inlaws borrowed the explorer they backed up. relized the e brake was on. could not figure it out.
mother in law got out left it in reverse.(RUNNING) father in law opens door leans down to find how to release ebrake. well found it the car starts rolling backwards the door was wide open(running)
hits the gas a little with hand then brake while my door is open, running over a bush. so now my door is touching the front fender when closed there is about 3/8 gap on jam side of door
door sag 3/4"in the door
seems to be in a little meaning not flush with fender,

so any adjustments on vertical and horizonal and out?

thanks for any input looks like I will have a fun weekend

****, if that was my truck, I'd be telling said in-laws that it's going to a body shop and they'll be reimbursing you.

This is why I don't let people use my cars...

If my vehicle is going to get damaged, it's gonna be done when im driving it...

x2... Is it bent around the door hinges?

Yes there is some adjustment. The hinge bolts need to be loosened and then you can reposition the door. Good luck though, I bet the A-pillar is bent where the hinges attach, or possibly the door frame itself... or both:eek: Might not be able to get enough adjustment to straighten it out.

You might hear it whistleing afterwards lol

American screwdriver should fix it! (= sledgehammer)

Can't see that its bent. tried to fix got it to move a little so now its not touching the front fender at least.
I was like f-it off to the body shop. just hope its a quick fix lol. I want to get started on the mark 8 18" cooling fan install. Ill keep everyone up dated on how it goes....

mark 8 18" cooling fan?!?! got me interested!!

I think you'll have to get divorced.

:D

Fixed the door

took to the body shop took him about 5 min. took bolts loose. pull hard added a small shim the hinge to door was bend slightly. Everything works good and now im in a better mood.!

good to hear lol its good to know its that easy

My wife let my neighbor borrow our truck once. He could not figure out the e-brake release either. He ripped the OBDII conector out of it's housing trying to release the e-brake. He still couldn't figure it out, so he just drove with the e-brake on. God Bless the "Special People", because nobody else will!

do u got pics of the damage
