Alright, I enjoy camping out of the explorer.... there are times I am in the back laying down and want the lights on... and there are times that I want the doors open but the interior lights off. I don't have access to my hayes manual for about another month, any schematics or ideas on how I go about this? is there a main wire for the interior lights that I can hook a switch into?

for having the doors open. you know were the door laches to the piller. well if you push the top clamp in it will complet the cirket and the lights will turn off some times a few seconds later. i did this when i was doing wireing under the colum and that dinging kep going off driving me nutsand came up with this. just remember to pull the handel to open the clamps back up. if you need pics. i can put up some then

Cool, thanks for the info. If anyone has a wiring schematic for the internal components I would really appreciate it.

Just pull the fuse for the lights
