If you bought a kit from Performance Accessories, I assume it should come with one..

yeah i bought it from performance accessories. but i didnt know if the linkage was adjustable or id have to weld the extension on it. should it come with all the hardware and hoses and all that jazz in it?

If you bought kit #793, I believe that the number, it should come with the steering extension for your truck.

Im not sure what number the kit was, but the guy that sold it to me said it came with everything i need.. even the bumper relocation stuff. I hope i can get it done in 1 day. and does it come with longer hoses? or do i not even have to change hoses?

I put the 793 kit on my 94. I have an automatic but everything else should be the same. I did it in about 8 hours and I am no mechanic. Just take your time and follow the directions. Start lubing up the bolts a week or so in advance and they will come right out.

thanks for the info! i have an automatic to. Did you have to weld an extension on your linkage? or is it adjustable? well thanks again!

I know that I didn't have to weld anything. The only extension is for the steering. Just take your time and follow the instructions. It was really a lot easier than I thought it would be. Just make sure to start spraying the body mount bolts about a week in advance. If you don't give them long enough to loosen up it can get ugly fast.

You shouldn't have to weld anything, it should all be bolt on. Make sure you put loc tite on the steering extension though, that would suck to have that come loose.

Thank you for the info! i hope it will be as easy as you guys say it will be. ill have a few people help me to cut down on the time. at least i hope! ill let you know what the outcome is! Brandon

Yes it is all bolt on... no welding required. The kit comes with the steering extention and u DO need to install it...use the locktite as suggested earlier in this thread. The kit does NOT come with the shifter extention and u can do without it unless u do not like the shifter being lowed by a couple of inches. You can get the shifter extention for around $30 if you find that you want it... we did not need it.

Heres a useful article on installing the body lift .... http://www.explorer4x4.com/bodylift.html

Have fun
