Install Sony XPLOD

I just got a $400.00 Sony and can't figure out how to install it. I got the power wires fine, but the speaker wires...can't figure it out. I have no idea what to do. Can anyone help.

Is this a headunit or amp? If HU, did you buy a wire harness adaptor for your X or just gonna splice into the factory wiring? Answer those couple questions and we can move on from there.

It is a headunit. I was going to splice it into the factory unit. There are 8 wires coming from the vehicle...there are four from the HU. I don't know what to do. I'm a little new at this. So if it takes me awhile to understand things, please be patient. Thank you so much for your help.

id spend the 15 bucks and order the harness from www.crutchfield.com it is way easier than trying to figure it out on your own. also do you have regular or premium?

A wire harness is definately the way to go. It will save you all kinds of time and headaches.

We got the harness...it is long rather than the small square. Does that work. I am so confused.

Okay...got the right harness...but the speakers will not work at all. Can't figure out what is wrong.
