so i put a used engine in my 1997 explorer it was the same vin x i beleive for the overhead cam engine. well everything bolted up perfectly and seemed to go well. when the install was done the engine didnt start because the nuetral safety switch wouldnt alow power to the starter. so i jumped the solenoid and got it running. well in drive its starting out in 2nd gear i believe and is running it what i think is tranny limp mode. I also have a check engine light which shows faults at all the shift solenoids. i went back through and checked all the connectors and grounds, and all the fuses and still havent found the problem. does anyone have an idea that i can check before I start testing all the wires cuz im not the best at electrical circuits but i feel like thats all i have left to check.
