Installed Upgraded Transmission Mounts...what a difference!

A little more NVH won't bother me at all. Add to that I'm chasing a clunking from the front suspension and this will maybe help cross drivetrain movement off the list. I already found a very loose axle to hub nut.

I would be VERY interested to hear more about this. Did it solve your issue?
I had my 2018 Sport up on a lift today installing a Steeda rear sway bar, and I noticed a missing front mount on mine. Made we wonder if this could be the reason I'm feeling a some odd "bumps" when I'm coasting down a smooth road at less than 40mph. Funny thing is, the shine on it makes it look like there used to be mount installed there. See photo
I bought it as a CPO last month with about 45k on it.

What parts would I need in order to install Tony's upgraded mount?
Thank you.

On the later years they stopped using a front mount. I couldn't tell you why...

My 13 has a front mount. I wanna say after 16 they don't have a front mount. You need the mount/shackle that bolts to the transmission and then I think you can add in a factory or aftermarket torque arm.

Just need the mounts. As mentioned, they went away from the front mount on 16+. Tony is only availbale via FB or email:

I loved my mount. Easy to install, makes a noticeable difference off the line. Sure there is a bit more vibration for daily driving, but it has not been an issue.

Just installed mine today. I concur what everyone else has said already. Slightly more noise/vibration, and the trade off is well worth it. The shifts feel SO much better now, it's like a different vehicle. No more of that "clunkiness" going from 1st to 2nd, especially when going around a corner. I feel much more inspired to put my foot down now. This is right up with there with Steeda rear sway bar with regards to simple upgrades that transform the vehicle and help turn it into what it should have been from the factory.
Count me in as one of Tony's very satisfied customers.

Definitely is an upgrade compared to stock. I notice the most NVH when I have my AC on, so if you haven't turned your AC on yet then I recommend doing so to get a feel of what the worst case scenario will be.

Just coming across this. Where is the NVH felt? Is it audible? I've already emailed Tony for price/availability.

You'll feel a little coming through the steering wheel, nothing bad at all.

Interesting indeed! I'll have to crawl under the '13 Sport to see what's going on under there. May have to do this. Thanks.

An 18 will probably have a lot less issues, my old 15 picked up minor vibrations and noise in lots of spots in the dash plastics, but they were easy to chase down and stick some dynamat clone sheets on the back side of to fix. Basically I did the steering column surround, and inside the dash around the gauges, radio and glove box and that pretty much solved it. Now I can only tell because of the very slight feel through the gas pedal and a very slight amplification of the engine noise.

Its best described as a buzzing feeling in the steering wheel.

I'm always confused why people ask this though. Who cares? Adding performance is always a trade off. You want to add it, there will be sacrifices made elsewhere...it's how the game is played. If it's that much of a concern for you, than I'd probably not do it.

I don't think it's out of line to ask the severity of an added NVH "issue." This isn't a race car. Yea, I want to add affordable performance, but if I wanted to DD a 93 Fox, I would. Even the Lightnings I daily drove for years, with all kinds of engine, suspension and transmission upgrades, had no noticeable vibration in the dash or steering wheel. If the vibration is going to make my hands go numb from holding on to a vibrating steering wheel or make me want to kick my own windshield out to stop the radar detector or rearview mirror from rattling on a 5 hour road trip, I'm not doing it. It's why I asked.

I gotta be honest - The lady made me remove these after about 1500 miles because of the noise and vibration. Its not terrible, but its not as minor as some say. If you want a quiet comfortable daily driver - these aren't for you.

Review is 2.5 years late, but installed Tony's mounts on a 2013 Sport. Very noticeable NVH. Drove around and retorqued 3 times and maybe got a little, tiny, bit better? Wife's vehicle and thought she'd want them removed, but 2.5 years later they are still on there! (Wife also drove a 2007 Mustang GT/CS manual when we met... one of the reasons I liked her so much.) NVH improved after ~2000 miles, but it is still very noticeable. Reminds me, and others, of driving a 70s muscle car. As others have mentioned, huge improvement in torque steer and shifts.

Was that 2K a break in period or about the time they need to be greased again?

Were you able to add the front mount to yours?
