installing a V6 into a 1987 b2600

I want to install a V6 into my 1987 Mazda b2600 but I cant seam to find any info on doing this . I would like to try to use my old trans and transfer case just replace the motor any help would be great thanks Sonny

In 86 & 87 the engine was Mitsubishi so I couldn't say if it has the M50D 5 speed trans.

If it does have the M50D Mazda trans you should be able to bolt up to a later model Ford/Mazda 4.0 v6.

You will need the whole wire harness and computer for the new engine.

Motor mounts are likely in the same location.

As far as specific info I don't think you are going to find any. After 87' they started using the Mazda engines.

Not exactly a common swap. You are the pioneer on this one.

I hear about some people talking about a trans that the bellhouseing un bolts and you can use other bellhouseings how do I know what trans I have thanks so far

google your make model and year and search around for specs you'll find what trans you have
