I have an'05 without autolamps and would like to install them. I checked the headlight switch wiring, and all the wires are there (according to Ford's wiring book). I installed the new headlight switch, with Autolamps, but the Autolamp feature doesn't work. Any ideas? How / what to test? THANKS in advance.

There is a sensor either on the rearview mirror or in the dash that activates them, look into that...

as well as a relay that you wouldnt otherwise have. Its going to be a more in depth swap than just a switch.

any other news on this? I'm trying to do the same thing with my 2005

You need to make sure you have the sun load sensor that is in the middle of the deck on the dash. Without this the sun light can't be detected and auto lights wont work.
