2006 Eddie Bauer Edition
Hello,

I own a 2006 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition. It has quite a few accessories (dvd system, navigation system, 6 cd changer) but it does not have the input for a MP3 player. Was anyone successful in adding this feature to their Eddie Bauer edition? If so, how was it done? I'm planning a trip to FL and am driving down (18 hours, what fun) and would rather listen to my MP3 player.

Thanks in advance for your help!!

Welcome to the forum, do a search in our audio sub forum to get ideas on what other people have done

There are several companies that make adapter cables that will allow you to plug one of these aftermarket cables into the port for the cd-changer and the other end plugs into your iPod. As jad2411 suggested, browse or search through the Explorer Audio and Navigation sub-forum.

Welcome!

Your best bet is finding a good deal on a radio with a input line.

if he does that, he will lose his rear dvd player. not a good option. like others have mentioned, look for an aux input that plugs into the cd changer port. pie and pac audio are 2 brands to look at.

Hello,
dvd system, navigation system, 6 cd changer

Dosn't the DVD player have inputs? Mine does, thats where i hook my iPod too, it also has Video inputs plus L/R. I can only get to it from the steering wheel controls and it shows up as Aux1.
