just curious, do these install behind the mirror, or in front??

judging by the pic, they appear to tape onto the existing mirror.... ant at the tip of the arrow is a wiring harness that is suppose to slip behind the actual mirror and be snaked into your truck....

I think you're kind just stick on, but the electrical connections are probably still the same.

I just picked up a set of these lights as well, I hope things go well and tell us how the install went.

Will do - and hartman your billet grill ****ING OWNS! I haven't seen it on a black explorer yet, and OMG it looks amazing. Any place you recommend where I can order one? I MUST have one!

There are many places that you can get a billet grill, and there are many different kinds. Do a search on "billet grille", you'll find plently on the topic. I got mine from Explorer Express because it doesn't require cutting.

Is this one any good? I just bid on this one on EBay, I unfortunately didn't see your post about Explorer Express, didnt even think to check there, I have ordered from them before and they're fantastic...anyway is this one any good:

The auction is nearly over and I'm the highest bidder. It's precut too.

You don't want my opinions on that grille. :p

Here is what the one from ebay looks like on a black X. I was very proud of it at first but the more I look at it the less I like it. I think I am going to copy Alphasylum and go with a speed grill soon.

Well it's like half the price so let me ask...is it worth buying?

If I could go back. I would save the $66 I spent and waited until I had the $30 more to get a better one. It is much better than stock but if you really care. Wait and get a better one. It is a PITA to get the emblem off and then the zip ties provided are not quite long enough for the center. The stock grill will show through if you dont paint it. I painted mine flat black and put it on. You can't see the stock grill at all. If money isnt a big deal. Go with EE.

I think these lights look awesome at night. But in the day, I would hate to have those red arrows on my side mirrors.

im not sure where i saw it but some1 maybe street scene is makind replacement mirror glass with the trun arrows built in

Well I never ended up installing those turn signals, would've been too much of a *****. But I got my EBay grill and installed it around 2 weeks ago.

Ironically like you Brandon, I really liked the grill intially but now I just can't wait to take it off. I'm removing it tomorrow...gonna sell it on eBay and try to get most of my money back.

I got flamed for saying the grills on ebay were cheap and ugly, and no one listened. Looks like it's quite a trend now that everybody is unhappy with this grille!
