i got new speakers, old ones are blown, and the connector that i took off doesnt fit the new ones, so can i just cut it off and connect the 2 wires to either side of the speaker thing..

how should i cover up the wire, just electrical tape?

and i can only fit 2 mounting screws back in, is that ok?
also, i didnt put on the new covers, because the door panel has its own cover for it, should i put the speaker cover on inside the door panel too, or just the doorpanel cover

thanks

yes you can cut and splice wires. you can even solder them if you want. electrical tape will be fine. you dont need the speaker grills. i dont know why you can only fit 2 screws in, but if they're tight that's all that matters.

I would solder the wires and encase in some heat shrink tubing,

This will prevent ever having problems with the connection.

Good luck........

aight thanks guys... sorry if i sound stupid as hell...

i just really havent learned audio stuff yet.

oh yeah does it matter which wire goes on which side?

yes you should connect positive to the positive terminal, and negative to the negative terminal.

well if music is coming out, and it sounds fine, then did i do the right side? lol.. because i guessed.
