Installing remote start/alarm

I'm looking into car alarms with remote starts and wanted to know how difficult it is to wire one of these up by myself? i can wire head units and sound systems and i've dabbled in relays so i believe i can tackle this and save the $300+ it costs to have a shop install it.

so what am i getting myself into with this project?

bump. found a the alarm/ignition wiring diagram and i just ordered the starter/alarm so i guess ill let everyone know how it goes
