Wanted instruction on replacing a instrument cluster

I need to replace my instrument cluster for a 2002 Ford Trac. The odimeter does not work and some of the lights are out on the guages. It;s not digital. I need to know what procedures are needed to remove it from the dash and to install a new one. Some trucks require the gearshipt to be placed in a certain gear before removing it.
