hey all.. is there any way i can get a different color light emitted from my instrument panel..is there a certain bulb i can change or something

This has been discussed before, but...

you can indeed replace the bulbs behind the instrument cluster -- there are 4 or 6 (I've heard both... depends on year, I think) bulbs behind the cluster. autolumination.com sells the LED bulbs, for like 2 bucks per bulb.

EDIT: just a friendly reminder... use the search function before posting. There's a wealth of information on this board already.

Try this:

(Some explorers come with clear gauge face letters and regular bulbs with a green silicone filter/cover them. You can simply replace the green silicone covers with blue filters or get blue 194 bulbs or even any color LED replacements you want. Some explorers have the "film" on the gauge face and have clear bulbs. The thread above shows how to change the color illumination if you have the second type of cluster)
