In the process of building my "super cheap budget" supercharger build I ran into a snag.. the supercharger intake box i built was in the way of the heater hose coming out of the intake... no big deal, i can get a 90 deg fitting and trim the hose..

nope.. with a turn of a wrench I hear a snap crakkle and pop to my surprise the fitting is now in my hand along with the piece from the intake and a crack in the manifold...

I have fallen victim to the ford pi intake crisis... so this is where I need your help. Do I

A: go junk yard searching and get the same intake

B: buy the new and improved intake with metal coolant crossover

C: and this is where the fun begins
Buy the new Edelbrock Victor Jr. (this is my favorite so far)

D: get this beautiful piece off eBay is says its a pro comp but I swear that's the professional products typhoon for a whole lot cheaper. its sold by more than one seller with the exact same part number as jegs on the typhoon

the full plastic intakes are junk, if anything get the plastic metal one, less you can afford full aluminum.

Dorman makes a replacement with all the latest updates. IT comes with gaskets and all the stuff for the install. Usually pretty cheap compared to an aftermarket intake.

You can get that Dorman one at Rockauto for $184 before the EF discount.

I'm really on the fence here because for the price and flow the vic Jr is amazing at $280 from jegs but I'm really leaning hard towards a Mark VIII dohc build I can get a complete motor for $160 and there are sitting everywhere, or I could stay 2v with blower, then there is the mark viii block with 2v heads causing the thing to run high 11:1 compression nasty cam and nitrous..... all I can say is starting this innocent budget supercharger build has given me the virus... I have the need, the need for speed.

aviators 4.6l are 4 valve engines... dunno if you could find one cheap tho. it is dohc tho.
