Well after having my supercharger on for a week, I can say it's time for an intercooler. I went to the 1/8 drag strip last night and all can say is that I'm VERY disapointed. After an hour drive I let it cool down for almost an hour but it was still hot. I ran high 9's and still haven't got a chip or bigger fuel pump/injectors. I looked around on eBay and say two fairly cheap ones. Could anyone tell me with one would work best and how much work is involved ?? Thanks

I'd start with the fuel pump/injectors, larger MAS and TB with a chip designed for all these mods first. Your motor is starving for fuel with the stock pump and injectors now that you are force feeding it air. An intercooler is only going to cool the incomming air=making the air more dense=more hp under detination but will do nothing if the motor cannot get enough fuel to match the incomming air.

I agree, handle the fuel delivery problems first. As for which intercooler to go with, an air-air is usually much simpler to run, but harder to package and plumb. If you can go that route do the front-mount (like all the imports) definately.

If you get a custom chip, you'll probably need a dyno tune before and after the intercooler.

If you go intercooler run an liquid to air like the first link. It can pull more heat out of the air and keeps the blower to intake distance shorter - plus you wont have miles of large tube running all over.

I am working on a manifold to house an '03 Cobra intercooler between my Kenne bell and a Victor 5.0L lower manifold. Should be fun!

I agree with the others on the fuel and air side. I have put a smaller pulley on mine and jumped the fuel pressure up for some fun - BIG difference. Once you get the fuel, air and timing (chip or dyno) upgraded, you will love it. Intercooler may not be necessary. Really not needed below 9-10psi.

So you're sure the fuel and timing are right and you aren't gonna blow the motor or cook your exhaust.

How much boost are you running? I agree, you need to adress the fuel issues first. With that said, look into methanol injection. For around $300 you cant beat it IMHO. The problem with a standard intercooler is there is no room under the hood and install will be a pain in the arse. Check out www.snowperformance.net

I'm running 9 lbs. of boost. I'm gonna take Alec advice and take it up to Atlanta Dyno and have them sort it out.

You need to have a method to adjust your ignition timing and fuel delivery, especially if they don't have a chip burner on-hand.
