Hi Guys need some help,

At last got my explorer sorted in the engine and suspension area! Noticed though that the bulbs had gone on the interior lighting so got new bulbs fitted them and they are great however they wont switch off! So they are now in the glove box so am I right in thinking that its the auto dim switch solenoid if so where is it and where can I get one?

Its a 2000 North Face!

Cheers

Simon

Just a thought have you checked the intrumentation dimmer switch? If this is rolled all the way up the interior lights remain on. Try rolling it down a click.

I concur
Had me stumped for a bit then stumbled on this

cheers guys now sorted! Phew 1 easy fix.

Just for information. If you roll the dimmer all the way down till it clicks it will turn the interior lights off too. Useful when working with the doors open.

and only works on the face lifted models (center rear number plate)
