Interior lights keep turning on and off

Last night I sat and watched as my 2005 ST interior lights kept coming on and going off. This seems to be a regular event with this vehicle. I have checked all the doors and made sure they were locked but the thing still kept doing it. The IP issue is there as in it stops working whenever it feels the eed and I hear a chatter (relay) on the passenger side of the dash that cuts out the radio and the gages. I was told of electrical problems with these vehicles after I bought it. So where do I begin??????? Thanks in advance.

Have the battery tested first. If OK, then check the alternator and all connections.

These vehicles are KNOWN for strange and intermittent gremlins with faulty batteries. GL
