Just bought a 99 explorer limited and the interior lights and running board lights stay on. Even with the doors shut. I have to shut them off completely to keep from draining the battery. They either have to be on or off. What do I need to do so that when I shut the door the lights turn off. Thanks

Check the light dimming dial on the left side of your steering wheel. Make sure it is not all the way up.

yeah, when u push it all the way up, itll click when its all the way at the top, so just push until then and u should be good

No, they stay on no matter where the dial is unless its all the way off.

check the switch buttons in the door jambs. at least one faulty one will cause this condition. the car thinks the door is open all the time.
