Inverting subs?

we installed 2 of the 12" high excursion audiobahns....so i am not sure if those are the cheap ones or what? but they were horrible..now i am installing 2 jl10w7s..i dont know what amp yet gota see what the insurance company gives him

high excersions are the better subs, and I dont know what you did, but ive never heard high excersions sound like crap, how many watts were you running to them? What year sub models were they?
