I know I know, let me explain before I get flamed.

When I got my BFGs, the balancer at 4WP was broken so they told me to come back in a few weeks to get them balanced. Fine. But, I get absolutely no vibrations at all, very smooth all the way up to 85mph. I don't have the infamous "60mph shake" either. They ride smooth and don't make noise. Keep in mind that I have stock wheels with no balancing weights on them whatsoever.

Will I experience any adverse effects as far as tire wear goes if I leave it this way, assuming routine rotation?

Its hard on the bearings and tie rods and stuff. Have you rotated them yet? Can't really feel and vibrations in the rear, so they may be unbalanced. If they'll do it for free, I say get it done.

Hartman, your a smart guy, what do you think? DUH
At the most, the worst that can happen is the micro vibes you cannot feel, will attack your prostate gland making you sterile and never to be able get it up again, no biggie

Some times the weights required to balance are very small. You may have a really nice match of wheel and tires. But I bet a ton of money that my dad would feel vibrations.

Some people are more sensitive about stuff like that, you are apparently not. Watch tire wear, and good luck.

I know why you don't want to have them balanced. The cost for the ten minutes of work is outrageous. Recently, the $5 per tire cash price that I used to pay has gone up. I didn't really like the $20 charge, and the $40 that they want know is even worse.

I go through a bunch of tires, so I notice more than others. My friend and I would love to find a fair price for used tire machines. We could save a lot of money in the long run. Regards,

Its not that i'm going to avoid getting them balanced, but I was just curious as to what would happen if I didn't. Thanks everyone.

tire balance for me is 3 bux per at wheelworks, really no biggie, had mine force balanced last week, thats expensive, hard to find a shop that has the tech to do it

If there is no vibration you're fine I wouldn't worry about it. I don't have the best tires/wheels and if I don't have even one wheel balanced 40+ mph is unbearable. Don't worry about balancing them.
