Is it a clutch? or what?

Here's the story........ a budy of mine just replaced clutch in his 93 2WD XLT and now has problems with first gear and reverse....... (it's almost imposible to put it in first or reverse)..... could it be the flywheel??? how about a clutch? perhaps it needs adjustment???

help me here........ I can't really check it myself since he's in Europe.......
 






I had the same problem when I had my clutch/transmission replaced. Bleeding the slave cylinder is probably the answer... It's a b#tch to do and it causes a lot of problems.
Try the FAQ, I think I saw something about it there.
 












last trip I went on I seen about 3 or 4. These are hard to find since Ford didn't really export them to Europe untill sometime in 1998 or so. Most likely someone brought one from US on his own.
